2011 Reindeer Run

for race day registrants.

  • Held in conjunction with the Downtown Festival of Lights.
  • In addition to the run, events include: classic Christmas movies, the lighting of the city's Christmas tree, Santa Claus, street dance, Bethlehem Village, Live Nativity Scene, third street restaurants and shops will be open, Old Governor’s mansion open house, fireworks, and ice skating. Awards Go To:

  • Mizuno will be providing a thermal half-zip pullover for the male and female winners of the fun run, overall, masters and grandmasters. They're valued at $80 each. We will also have door prizes from Mizuno and Varsity Sports. Please note only chip-timed runners will be eligible for prizes.

We will again be partnering with the U.S. Marines for Toys for Tots. Please bring a NEW unwrapped toy to early packet pickup or on race day to be entered in a raffle for a $75 gift certificate to Varsity Sports. Please no Weapon toys. All toys benefit the Children of the Baton Rouge Area. Monetary donations can be made out to Toys for Tots and mailed to 8410 General Chennault Drive, Baton Rouge, LA 70807.   • The cost for the event is $20 for pre-registration, $25 for day of, $17 for family rate (minimum of 3). We will be offering chipped timing this year, and runners will only be eligible for the prizes if they are chipped. There is an extra $3 charge for the chipped timing. Free for children 5 and under.

Online registration ends at 10:00 p.m. on December 1st. Registration for chip-timed runners is capped at 500 and will close Nov. 29 at minight.
