 This year's Reindeer Run will be on December 2, 2011. Registration will take place at City Plaza at the corner of 4th St. and North Blvd.
- Registration begins at 5:30 p.m.
- The Jog begins at 7:00 p.m.
- The 5K race begins at 7:20 p.m.
- Post race food and festivities start at 7:30 p.m.
Online registration ends at 10:00 p.m. on December 1st.
This is a general idea of what the race route will be:
The start and finish points will vary to make the race a 5k.
The race begins near the corner of 4th and North Boulevard. We will run north on 4th Street toward the State Capitol to the intersection of Spanish Town Road. Turn right on Spanish Town Road and then turn left onto 5th Street. At the end of 5th Street, the route turns right on State Capitol Drive. Veer left at the next intersection, turning onto the Capitol Access Road. Follow the Capitol Access Road to the switchback and follow the road into Arsenal Park. Follow Capitol Access Road along the shores of Capitol Lake until reaching 3rd Street. Turn right on 3rd Street and follow the road to the turnaround point. Retrace your route on 3rd Street and continue on until turning left at Spanish Town Road. Turn right onto 4th Street and follow it until you reach the finish line at North Boulevard.
The cost for the event is $20 for pre-registration, $25 for day of, $17 for family rate ( minimum of 3). We will be offering chipped timing this year, and runners will only be eligible for the prizes if they are chipped. there is an extra $3 charge for the chipped timing.
Early Packet Pickup:
Early packet pickup will be held at the Law Firm of Cassie Felder and Associates, 263 3rd St. Suite 308 (downtown Baton Rouge). Pickup will take place from 11:00AM to 6:30PM on Thursday, December 1nd. Parking is available in the parking lot across the street.
Online registration ends at 10:00 p.m. on December 1st.
